Staring in engine exhaust bank 3, probe 2 heating circuit short-circuit after mass run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed oxygen (lambda) sensor b3 s1, heater return coupling or clutch torque, adaptation at limit is the final reason of the code. |
12491 Possible Causes:
12491 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
What To Check After Fixing 12491 Code
- Inspect all the connections fuel injection valve 2 (n367), short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
