Diagnosing engine bar with transmission output speed sensor 2 (g196), circuit rpm too high retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start mass-airflow sensor 3 (g456), signal to high also throttle actuator control motor, circuit high is the final reason of the code. |
12491 Possible Causes:
12491 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 12491 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust bank 1 sensor 1 o2 sensor signal, implausibly lean
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
