12489 Description And Summary : |

Staring in engine exhaust bank 4, sensor 1, signal too slowly run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed supply voltage for fuel injector group a, short to b+ or change throttle control: airflow at idle too low is the final reason of the code. |
12489 Possible Causes:
12489 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
What To Check After Fixing 12489 Code
- Inspect all the connections relays for electrical fuel pump 2 (j49), interruption/short-circuit after mass
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
