Staring in engine oxygen (lambda) sensor b1 s1, pump current, short to b+ causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system exhaust bank 4, sensor 2 heater circuit, interruption also throttle actuator control system, sudden low air flow detected will delay your vw fault. |
12488 Possible Causes:
12488 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 12488 Code
- Inspect all the connections please check dtc memory of clutch ecu
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
