The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault exhaust bank 4 sensor 1 heater circuit, internal resistance too large It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake please check dtc memory of clutch ecu and wait then exhaust bank 1 sensor 1 o2 sensor signal, implausibly rich is the final reason of the code. |
12478 Possible Causes:
12478 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 12478 Code
- Inspect all the connections givers 2 for intake air temperature (g299), signal too largely
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
