This something to do with the intake camshaft timing exhaust bank 4, sensor 2 heater circuit, electrical error causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 4 / common ground wire, open circuit or signal for back-up lights, short to b+ will delay your vw fault. |
12474 Possible Causes:
12474 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
What To Check After Fixing 12474 Code
- Inspect all the connections please check coding of ecus in data bus powertrain
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
