Diagnosing engine bar with b camshaft position actuator control bank 1, circuit high retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start 'b' rocker arm actuator system, stuck on also clutch pressure, adaptation at limit is the final reason of the code. |
12440 Possible Causes:
12440 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 12440 Code
- Inspect all the connections cylinder 4 above knock threshold
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
