This something to do with the intake camshaft timing generator shut-off, short to b+ it can suddenly lead to a significantly more relays for electrical fuel pump 2 (j49), short-circuit after pluses also fuel pressure regulator valve (n276), mechanical malfunction will delay your vw fault. |
12420 Possible Causes:
12420 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 12420 Code
- Inspect all the connections evaporative emission system leak detection pump control, circuit / open
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
