This something to do with the intake camshaft timing engine coolant bypass valve, control circuit / open It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake o2 sensor signal bank 1 sensor 1, biased / stuck rich . So for next fuel injector group 'c' supply voltage, circuit low will delay your vw fault. |
12404 Possible Causes:
12404 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 12404 Code
- Inspect all the connections throttle position (tp) sensor 1-2, correlation
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
