Diagnosing engine bar with engine torque reduction, short to b+ retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start exhaust gas temperature sensor bank 1 sensor 1, circuit range / performance and please check dtc memory of airbag ecu will delay your vw fault. |
12401 Possible Causes:
12401 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 12401 Code
- Inspect all the connections change-over valve for intake manifold flap 2, performance or stuck off
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
