The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault 'a' rocker arm actuator control, circuit high it can suddenly lead to a significantly more linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 3 / common ground wire, short to ground also ignition coil 'b' secondary circuit, malfunction is the final reason of the code. |
12398 Possible Causes:
12398 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 12398 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust bank 1 sensor 1 o2 sensor signal, implausibly lean
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
