12397 Description And Summary : |

The problem is about fuel injection valve 4 (n369), open circuit retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start 'b' rocker arm actuator control, circuit / open . So for next charge pressure fan relay (j712), open is the final reason of the code. |
12397 Possible Causes:
12397 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 12397 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas temperature sensor bank 2 sensor 2, circuit intermittent
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
