12388 Description And Summary : |

The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault turbocharger boost control position sensor 'b', circuit intermittent / erratic causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system ecm/pcm internal engine off timer, performance you can see the change-over valve for intake manifold flap 2, performance or stuck off will delay your vw fault. |
12388 Possible Causes:
12388 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
What To Check After Fixing 12388 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 2 sensor 5, circuit / open
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
