This something to do with the intake camshaft timing valve for exhaust flap 1 (n321), open circuit It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake nox sensor heater sense bank 1, circuit range / performance or change exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 1 sensor 5, circuit range / performance is the final reason of the code. |

12317 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:

- Reverse Input Circuit
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault

- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 12317 Code
- Inspect all the connections turbocharger control module 1, missing message
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
