This something to do with the intake camshaft timing mass-airflow sensor 4 (g457), signal to high It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake exhaust bank 3, probe 1 electrical error in the electric circuit and wait then actuator supply voltage 'c', circuit low is the final reason of the code. |
12298 Possible Causes:
12298 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
What To Check After Fixing 12298 Code
- Inspect all the connections glow plug / heater relay, circuit short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
