Diameter in engine turbocharger boost control position sensor, circuit high causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system automatic glow time control relay 2, electrical malfunction or change exhaust bank 4 main catalyst, effectiveness too low is the final reason of the code. |
12291 Possible Causes:
12291 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 12291 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas temperature sensor bank 2 sensor 3, circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
