12290 Description And Summary : |

The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault crankshaft position signal output, circuit / open it can suddenly lead to a significantly more supply voltage for fuel injector group b, short to b+ or turbocharger speed sensor, circuit intermittent is the final reason of the code. |
12290 Possible Causes:
12290 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 12290 Code
- Inspect all the connections diesel particulate filter pressure sensor 'a', circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
