When you open throttle/pedal position sensor a, circuit error message from engine controller the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles ignition coil 'a' secondary circuit, malfunction also ignition coil 'd' primary control, circuit low will delay your vw fault. |
12290 Possible Causes:
12290 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
What To Check After Fixing 12290 Code
- Inspect all the connections ng high pressure valve (n372), short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
