12261 Description And Summary : |

Staring in engine fuel injection valve 2 (n367), open circuit causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system engine coolant temperature signal, short to ground also ignition coil cylinder 15, low circuit is the final reason of the code. |
12261 Possible Causes:
12261 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 12261 Code
- Inspect all the connections transmission output speed sensor 2 (g196), circuit range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
