The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault 'a' rocker arm actuator control, circuit / open run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed motor for intake manifold flap (v157), open / short to ground also reductant temperature sensor, circuit high is the final reason of the code. |
12258 Possible Causes:
12258 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 12258 Code
- Inspect all the connections camshaft position signal output, circuit / open
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
