The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault torque management request input signal a, range / performance causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system reductant injection valve bank 1 unit 2, circuit / open and exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 1 sensor 4, circuit high is the final reason of the code. |

12256 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
