The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault exhaust bank 3, probe 2 heating circuit of electrical errors It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake a/c refrigerant pressure sensor 'b', circuit or throttle actuator control motor current, range / performance will delay your vw fault. |

12246 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 12246 Code
- Inspect all the connections throttle/pedal position sensor 'c', maximum stop performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
