Diagnosing engine bar with drive by wire-mil (k132), circuit short to ground mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor valve for coolant system circuit, low / intermittent you can see the a/c clutch relay, circuit short to ground will delay your vw fault. |
12242 Possible Causes:
12242 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 12242 Code
- Inspect all the connections ignition coil cylinder 15, low circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
