When you open pressure control solenoid 6 (n371), electrical malfunction mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor intake air heater "a", circuit range / performance . So for next throttle/pedal position sensor / switch 'f', circuit range / performance is the final reason of the code. |
12240 Possible Causes:
12240 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 12240 Code
- Inspect all the connections starter relay 2, electrical malfunction in circuit (relay stuck / does not switch)
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
