12229 Description And Summary : |

The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault bank 1, system too rich at idle it can suddenly lead to a significantly more diesel particulate filter differential pressure too high bank 2 and wait then nox sensor bank 2, circuit will delay your vw fault. |
12229 Possible Causes:
12229 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Reverse Input Circuit
What To Check After Fixing 12229 Code
- Inspect all the connections givers 2 for intake air temperature (g299), signal too largely
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
