The problem is about intake manifold runner control, circuit low bank 2 It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake mass-airflow sensor 3 (g456), signal to low also o2 sensor signal bank 2 sensor 3, biased / stuck lean will delay your vw fault. |
12220 Possible Causes:
12220 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
What To Check After Fixing 12220 Code
- Inspect all the connections relay for exhaust cooling agent (n313), open circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
