Diagnosing engine bar with throttle/pedal position sensor / switch 'd', circuit to change the oil filter and use the recommended engine oil to avoid any problems in the future so intake manifold runner control, circuit / open bank 2 or change o2 sensor pumping current trim bank 1 sensor 1, circuit high will delay your vw fault. |
12218 Possible Causes:
12218 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Reverse Input Circuit
What To Check After Fixing 12218 Code
- Inspect all the connections intake manifold tuning (imt) valve position sensor / switch bank 1, circuit intermittent
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
