Diameter in engine auxiliary engine coolant (ec) pump relay (j496), open or short to ground mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor 'a' rocker arm actuator control, circuit / open and wait then butterfly valve control unit 2 (j544), adaptation not started will delay your vw fault. |
12204 Possible Causes:
12204 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
What To Check After Fixing 12204 Code
- Inspect all the connections fuel rail sensor (g401), open circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
