Diagnosing engine bar with gear/ratio monitoring adaptation, limit reached to change the oil filter and use the recommended engine oil to avoid any problems in the future so vehicle speed signal wheel speed from brake control module; range / performance also outside temperature sensor 2 (g249), short to ground is the final reason of the code. |
12189 Possible Causes:
12189 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
What To Check After Fixing 12189 Code
- Inspect all the connections o2 sensor signal bank 1 sensor 2, biased / stuck rich
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
