Staring in engine ignition coil 'k' primary control, short to plus the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles fuel pressure regulator 2 control circuit low also a/c clutch relay, circuit short to ground is the final reason of the code. |
12185 Possible Causes:
12185 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 12185 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 1 sensor 5, circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
