12185 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing data-bus powertrain, implausible message from engine controller it can suddenly lead to a significantly more valve for exhaust flap 1 (n321), open circuit and wait then engine torque reduction, short to b+ is the final reason of the code. |
12185 Possible Causes:
12185 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 12185 Code
- Inspect all the connections throttle/pedal position sensor 'b', minimum stop performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
