12183 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing relays for large amount of heat (j360), short-circuit after pluses retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start fuel injection valve 1 (n366), short to b+ . So for next relays for coolant additive pump (j496), open circuit is the final reason of the code. |
12183 Possible Causes:
12183 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
What To Check After Fixing 12183 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust bank 1 sensor 1 individual cylinder control, sensor dynamic too low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
