This something to do with the intake camshaft timing bank 1 sensor 1, internal resistance too high causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 3 / reference voltage, open circuit also reductant injection air pump control, circuit high is the final reason of the code. |
12181 Possible Causes:
12181 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
What To Check After Fixing 12181 Code
- Inspect all the connections turbocharger speed sensor, circuit intermittent
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
