When you open linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 3 / common ground wire, short to b+ the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles throttle plate control 2, malfunction also data bus powertrain, missing messages is the final reason of the code. |
12180 Possible Causes:
12180 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
What To Check After Fixing 12180 Code
- Inspect all the connections low pressure fuel system sensor (g410), circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
