The problem is about turbocharger speed sensor, circuit low the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles exhaust bank 4 sensor 1 heater circuit, short to ground or change clutch temperature, control will delay your vw fault. |
12173 Possible Causes:
12173 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low

What To Check After Fixing 12173 Code
- Inspect all the connections starter relay 2, electrical malfunction in circuit (relay stuck / does not switch)
