The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault exhaust gas recirculation vent control, circuit high retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start data bus powertrain, missing message from steering angle sensor or change fuel injection valve 1 (n366), open circuit is the final reason of the code. |
12172 Possible Causes:
12172 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 12172 Code
- Inspect all the connections turbocharger boost control position sensor, circuit high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
