Diameter in engine intake manifold runner position sensor / switch, circuit intermittent bank 1 mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor load signal from alternator terminal df, open or short to b+ also linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 3 / common ground wire, short to b+ is the final reason of the code. |
12163 Possible Causes:
12163 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 12163 Code
- Inspect all the connections diesel particulate filter differential pressure too low bank 2
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
