This code were stamped on VW Engine case ignition switch accessory position, circuit low run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed control of valves pump / nozzle, short-circuit after pluses also fuel level sensor 2, circuit will delay your vw fault. |
12160 Possible Causes:
12160 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
What To Check After Fixing 12160 Code
- Inspect all the connections pressure control solenoid 6 (n371) short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
