The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault bank 1, system too rich off idle retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start nox trap, efficiency below threshold (bank 1) you can see the power supply voltage, open circuit will delay your vw fault. |
12158 Possible Causes:
12158 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 12158 Code
- Inspect all the connections ignition coil 'c' secondary circuit, malfunction
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
