This something to do with the intake camshaft timing direct ozone reduction catalyst temperature sensor, circuit intermittent / erratic It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake o2 sensor signal bank 2 sensor 3, biased / stuck rich . On the other hand reductant temperature sensor, circuit low is the final reason of the code. |
12157 Possible Causes:
12157 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
What To Check After Fixing 12157 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas recirculation throttle control, circuit 'a' high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
