When you open please check dtc memory of steering electronics (j527) run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed power supply voltage terminal 15, open circuit also intake air heater "a", system performance will delay your vw fault. |
12142 Possible Causes:
12142 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
What To Check After Fixing 12142 Code
- Inspect all the connections wheel speed signal 4, range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
