12124 Description And Summary :

The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault camshaft position signal output, circuit low mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor engine coolant temperature sensor 2 (g83), circuit high and wait then diesel particulate filter pressure sensor 'a', circuit low is the final reason of the code.

12124 Possible Causes:

12124 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:

  • Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
  • Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
  • Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
  • Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
  • Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
  • Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High

What To Check After Fixing 12124 Code

  • Inspect all the connections throttle/pedal position sensor / switch 'a' / 'c', voltage correlation
  • Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
  • Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
