This something to do with the intake camshaft timing motor for intake manifold flap (v157), no signal retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start sensor 1 for hydraulic pressure in transmission, open or short to b+ and wait then fuel injection valve 3 (n368), short to ground will delay your vw fault. |

12120 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
What To Check After Fixing 12120 Code
- Inspect all the connections throttle/pedal position sensor 'f', maximum stop performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
