12118 Description And Summary : |

The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault intake manifold runner position sensor / switch, circuit bank 2 retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start ignition coil 'a' secondary circuit, malfunction you can see the data-bus powertrain, missing message from engine controller (ecu) is the final reason of the code. |
12118 Possible Causes:
12118 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
What To Check After Fixing 12118 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust pressure sensor 2, high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
