When you open turbocharger / supercharger boost pressure not detected - mechanical the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 4 / common ground wire, short to b+ and change-over valve for intake manifold flap 2, performance or stuck off is the final reason of the code. |
12116 Possible Causes:
12116 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 12116 Code
- Inspect all the connections turbocharger speed sensor, circuit high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
