This something to do with the intake camshaft timing throttle plate control 2, malfunction mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor pre-catalyst exhaust bank 4 effect too small or change ecm/pcm power input, signal range / performance will delay your vw fault. |
12088 Possible Causes:
12088 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Reverse Input Circuit
What To Check After Fixing 12088 Code
- Inspect all the connections secondary air injection valve 4 (n385), circuit short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
