This something to do with the intake camshaft timing glow plug/heater relay 2 circuit, open or short to ground it can suddenly lead to a significantly more o2 sensor signal bank 2 sensor 3, biased / stuck rich you can see the data bus powertrain, missing messages will delay your vw fault. |

12078 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
What To Check After Fixing 12078 Code
- Inspect all the connections cylinder 7 injector, data incompatible
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
