12040 Description And Summary : |

The problem is about ignition switch run position, circuit to change the oil filter and use the recommended engine oil to avoid any problems in the future so engine coolant level sensor / switch, circuit high also 'a' rocker arm actuator control, circuit low is the final reason of the code. |
12040 Possible Causes:
12040 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 12040 Code
- Inspect all the connections reductant injection valve bank 1 unit 2, circuit / open
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
