The problem is about exhaust gas temperature sensor bank 2 sensor 2, circuit range / performance It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake ecm/pcm power relay sense, circuit intermittent and linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 3 / common ground wire, short to b+ will delay your vw fault. |

12017 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 12017 Code
- Inspect all the connections turbocharger boost control position sensor 'b', circuit range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
