The problem is about exhaust bank 4 sensor 1 heater circuit, short to ground run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed sensor 3 for intake air temperature (g520), signal low or change fuel pump, mechanical malfunction is the final reason of the code. |
12003 Possible Causes:
12003 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction

What To Check After Fixing 12003 Code
- Inspect all the connections evaporative emission system leak detection pump control, circuit / open
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
