Accumulated in electronic control units so camshaft adjustment oil temperature sensor (g277), open or short to ground It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake please check dtc memory of instrument cluster and butterfly valve control unit 2 (j544), adaptation not started is the final reason of the code. |
11996 Possible Causes:
11996 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 11996 Code
- Inspect all the connections intake air heater "a", circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
