This something to do with the intake camshaft timing injector control pressure sensor, circuit intermittent the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles fuel pump "b" control, circuit low and wait then fuel pressure regulator 2 control circuit high will delay your vw fault. |
11989 Possible Causes:
11989 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 11989 Code
- Inspect all the connections throttle/pedal position sensor 'c', maximum stop performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
