The problem is about drive by wire-mil (k132), circuit short to ground retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start transmission mount valve 2 (n263), short to b+ and data bus powertrain, missing messages is the final reason of the code. |
11988 Possible Causes:
11988 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
What To Check After Fixing 11988 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust bank 3, probe 1 heating circuit interruption
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
